environmentally responsible consrtuction

Why 'Eco'?

The building industry is currently the subject of considerable government interest and discussion. The conclusion of various reports and papers is that current practice must change in order to reflect current thinking on environmental and ecological issues.

Greater consideration has to be given to the environmental impact of buildings, not only to the direct effect on the environment (visual, transport, infrastructure, etc), but also by logical extension to the indirect effects such as the cost of transport of materials, ‘embodied’ energy cost, and eventual recyclability.

Having a wide range of experience in the building industry as contractors and developers, we obviously keep a ‘keen eye’ on cost, and hope to steer a ‘middle course’ between the ideal and practical.
